Heard the Conversation between Johannisberg( lets Adopt) and the city of Halifax, regarding Ms. Goiger and Brindi. Unbelievable, To the City of Halifax ,what are yo hiding?
PLEASE , FREE BRINDI !!!!!!!!!
Sissy says:
Mayor Kelly needs to accept responsibility and finally put this to an end.He has the power to do something and stand up for justice for Brindi but he would rather hide behind his "No Comment" statement.Mayor Kelly CAN do something he just chooses not to.Shame on him and Miss Donovan for not doing the right thing and releasing Brindi to Francesca Rogier.
Misha Dee says:
Trish: "So the Police is not with the city?"
Donavan: "well, the city PAYS the police…."
This is turning into a Monty Python episode….
unfortunately there are lives at stake – so I am not laughing….
What a farce.
Misha Dee says:

Contact the Office of the Ombudsman of Nova Scotiva.
They might actually be able to clean up the mess they're having in Halifax when it comes to city hall and public services.
They can be contacted here:
Direct telephone line:
902-424-6780
Telephone toll-free within Nova Scotia:
1-800-670-1111 (not sure this will work toll-free from the US or outside Nova Scotia)
Fax: 902-424-6675
E-mail: ombudsman@gov.ns.ca
FREE BRINDI – BE the change….keep the fire burning. I can feel the heat all the way over here.
Amy Hammer` says:
Misha, thank you so much for the ombudsman contact info, but confused about what I should actually say to them, so please advise.
In the mean time, I will continue to call the mayor & Kristin.
Thanks again, Amy

Keep it up and someone could find out about harrasement laws in CANADA! The following statement doesn't cut it…"""This recording is for entertainment purposes only and cannot be used for any purposes in any legal proceedings"""".
Lale Erguner says:
Poor city of Halifax! Sooo sad! The Legal Advisor to the Mayor of Halifax is not even aware that the police are part of the city of Halifax, and that legally, police cannot take someone to court. The district attorney can do that, in the name of the city… Guys, God help you if you're ever in a situation where the Mayor will rely on the advice of this lady to help you!!!
I have never heard such meaningless answers from someone who holds a title such as Legal Advisor… Oh, what a shame…
Nathalie Thélamon says:
Hello! After hearing the telephone conversation between the representant of Let's adopt in Johannisberg and Mrs. Mary Ellen Donovan I would like to share my consternation about this unbelivable dialogue. On the one hand, we have someone (the Let's adopt's representant in South Africa) who just tries to get logical answers to logical questions that we are thousands to ask all around the world. On the other hand, we have Mrs. Donavan, legal advisor to Mr. Kelly (Mayor of Halifax), doing her best to confuse with her surreal responses a matter not needing to be more confused than it already is. I'm talking about Mrs. Donovan surreal answers because of the absurdity of her resoning: (to sum-up what she said) "this is not in the city's hands, but in the police' ones. But the police is paid by the City". Face to such a bad faith, I can just say that we (all around the world) do not care about the political dimension of which all the shareholders of the City seem to be prisoners. We just want a poor dog who has never harmed anybody to live. We just want her owner to be given back her "propertie". We just want Canada to keep being in our minds, what it was before this story: a civilized country.
Sheila White says:
Just thinking about the fact that, in Canada, humans who commit major crimes are out on bail while awaiting trial. This poor dog has been stuck in jail for a misdemeanor for all this time waiting on court decisions. This is Canadian justice.
amanda daniell says:
This is so astonishing. Despite tremendous to free Brindi around the world they do not care!!! What in the world is this city thinking!!!
