This post is as much about Brindi as much as it is about human nature.
When we launched our 13 days campaign we had a choice. Explain from the beginning the 19 months of hell Brindi and Francesca have gone through or FOCUS on creating a big wave of awareness and prompt people to action. No. Not a big campaign.. a HUGE ONE!
This type of campaign, if it gets truly big, has the potential to truly change things on the ground.
Human beings respond to emergencies. That is ingrained in our nature.
We, as social animals tend to follow the direction of our community.
Our pack.
This is what Let’s Adopt! is doing through its 13 days Campaign.
Leading the community in one clear and unequivocal direction, the Freeing of Brindi and her return to her loving owner, Francesca Rogier.
If you are going to conduct a campaign, make it big, make it HUGE. It needs to be awe-inspiring, frightening, on deadline and worth losing sleep over.
And losing sleep is exactly what we have done since we started .. so it is working!.
We have 9 days to Save Brindi.
If you are in Canada please CALL Mayor Peter J. Kelly, Mayor of Halifax on ph: 902-490-4010 and tell him that Brindi must be spared AND returned to her owner.
If you are abroad please email kellyp@halifax.ca and express the same… We have 9 days.…
For the Animals…

There is something clearly wrong with the City of Halifax.
Our mail boxes are filled with letters from people from all over the world asking all kinds of questions. The most common one is: Who can stop this madness? Who can save Brindi’s life and return her to her
owner? Who has the power to take action?
The answer is here: The only person (other than the judge) who has the power to save Brindi is Mayor Peter Kelly.
Will he do it? Not until public pressure is so overwhelming that he realizes the absurdity of the situation and decides to put an end to this outrage.
Bizarre as it may sound, Brindi’s story is real and it could happen to YOU. There is only one way to understand Brindi’s case in its entirety.. imagine it happened to YOU.
The City of Halifax has a track record in putting innocent animals to sleep. Why?
Because they can. It’s a power trip.
Mr. Kelly, we live in a different world. Brindi’s situation belongs to a different age and social structure; a feudal society when the authorities could get hold of people’s animals (and families) and kill them because THEY WANTED TO.
In those times authorities acted as they pleased because they could.
Times have changed. Such aberrations do not remain uncovered any longer; people stand up.
Canada is one of the world’s greatest democracies, and a country filled to the brim with animal lovers.
Stephen Harper Animal Activist
Your own Prime Minister, Stephen Harper is an animal activist!
Time will tell; those who don’t take the necessary actions will pay for whatever they do (or don’t do), one way or another.
Mr. Kelly, at some point every politician and man of service takes a choice that will dictate its legacy.
You can choose to be remembered as a man of integrity and honour, someone who was fortunate enough to be bestowed upon the mission of leading his city in the best possible manner, with justice and common sense guiding his actions..
or…
You can choose to be remembered as a petty and cruel person who didn’t take action against blatant injustice. Someone who ignored the most absurd of situations and looked away. A person who prefered to allow two innocent lives to be destroyed.
Brindi has done NOTHING to deserve the injustice she is submitted to, which currently threatens her very existence. Francesca Rogier has done NOTHING to be submitted to a physical and psychological ordeal that, let’s face it, has a certain whiff of prejudice.
Life is about choices Mr. Kelly. From this tribune I encourage you to reflect upon those.
Please CALL Mayor Peter J. Kelly, Mayor of Halifax on ph: 902-490-4010 or if you are abroad please email kellyp@halifax.ca and express your deepest inner feelings regarding this case.We have 12 days…For the Animals…
For Brindi…
